Xtreme Days (3D Projection Mapping) 2025

3D projection mapping for the 10th anniversary of Xtreme Days Festival, Italy’s main event for extreme sports, urban freestyle and outdoor activities. The video features the virtual lookalikes of various athletes who left a significant mark in the history of the festival over the past ten years. They took over the facade of Palazzo Pegolo (16th century) in Piazza del Popolo, Sacile (PN), celebrating the festival’s heritage and mesmerizing the public with their stunts. Eventually, the fictional depiction of reality turned into reality itself.

Made in 2.5 weeks leveraging Unreal Engine 5, Blender, various AI tools.

The apparition of Armin Holzer, deceased athlete, familiar to the public for hanging his hammock high above the city center during past editions of the festival. It had to be recognizable, thus extremely realistic when seen from the ground and featuring organic movement /
